Haven was lucky and was able to start pre-school this year (the other 2 girls didn't go to pre-school). She cried her first day but the next time she went she told me she was not going to cry and she didn't. She loves to go to Miss Joey's pre-school and has been making new friends.

At our school they have an award you can earn by doing 15 of 20 requirements. It was a lot of work but both girls earned their Soaring Eagle award.

Haven turned 3 back in June. All she wanted was cupcakes and to go to Chuck E Cheese (with her sisters encouragement). She had such a great time and now she really wants to go back.

I am lucky enough to have a nephew that works at Lagoon this year. He was able to get us in so cheap that I just had to take the girls. I told Kasja and Cambria that we could stay as long as Haven would let us. We were there until they closed at 10:00. Not one fit from Haven, she had the time of her life. I loved being there sharing the time with them. Their joy brings me greater joy!!!

The two older girls love this ride (not me, but I put on a happy face). I took Haven on this but she didn't like it when it dropped.

On Sunday the 11th Kasja was not feeling well and we stayed home from church. She kept saying that her tummy hurt but only when you touched it. At 7:00 that night I decided to take her in the urgent care. They looked her over and sent us up to Primary Children's. They thought it was her appendix. After all the doctors looked at it they came to the same conclusion and she had it taken out (along with her 2 front teeth) at 12:30 am. She did really well with the recovery and loved going to the playroom. She got to come home Monday evening and had to stay home from school the rest of the week. She kept telling me how bored she was and wished we had a playroom like the hospital. I am just glad that everything worked out and she is doing so much better now. She looks very different without her teeth but it sure is cute.

It was 9 years ago today that Armand and I were sealed in the Salt Lake Temple. I am just happy that it was a lot nicer weather that day then it is today. It is hard to believe it has been 9 years. I feel like I have known him for so much longer. I love you Babe!!

Anniversary

September 16th marked the anniversary of 3 different events. First of all it was my parents 43rd wedding anniversary. I am so happy to have them as my parents.

The second event is it has been 9 years since I went through the temple to receive my own endowments. I can't believe that it has been that long. Time really does fly.

The third event is it was one year ago that Armand had his seizure while in the drivers seat. He had 2 episodes that day and not one since then. I am glad about that. I think about that day at least once a week and think of how things could have been so bad. We really lucked out. I am just so happy that he is still around and we love him so much.

State Fair

I took the girls to the fair on the first day it was open. Lucky for me I only had to pay $4.00 for all of us to get in. The girls had fun. This is their favorite thing there, Little Hands on the Farm.

Cambria was the only one that could go on the horse. Haven is afraid to ride and Kasja threw a huge fit before we left for the fair so her punishment was that she couldn't ride. She did really good watching Cam ride knowing it was her own fault. I had to do something to show her I was serious when I say I will take something away. I think it worked.

Just yesterday as I was driving with Cambria in the car we noticed something was starting to be built on the corner of Target at Jordan Landing. I say to Cambria that I would love it if an In-n-Out Burger would come. Then I go on to say that dad would love it if it was Jack in the Box. So today I am on my way to Wal-Mart with Cam in the car again and see the most wonderful sign up "In-n-Out coming soon". I started yelling at Cambria that I got my wish, I was pretty excited (and still am)!!!

Summertime Fun

I feel like I have been so busy this summer. Here are a few things we have done.

They had a Family Fun Day at This is the Place park. It was fun but it was really hot. I only have one picture of Kasja on the horse because I couldn't get my camera to work. Cambria went to but I couldn't get a picture. Haven had good intentions of getting on the horse until she was right next to it. Then she changed her mind.

We're Expecting

So as most of you know our youngest, Haven just turned 2 last month. We have actually been trying for our last one for well over a year. The last few months I have been taking some fertility drugs (which have not been fun). I am happy and scared to say that we are expecting 4 to 6 babies.

Now before you get too excited and call me or pass out I would like to say that we are expecting 4 to 6 puppies from our dog Myah. I have been suspicious for about 2 weeks now because she was looking pretty fat. So today I decided to get her hair cut to see if that is why she was looking so chubby. Well as soon as I walked in to pick her up the girls asked me when she was going to have her puppies. I tried to figure out how far along she is since it looks like she could go at any moment and she is at least 56 days and they say that they will usually deliver between days 58 and 62. So I am a little nervous.

While the first paragraph is true about trying for one more baby I think that our journey is coming to an end. I don't want to be selfish but I really don't want to be an old mom. I want to be able to enjoy my grandkids when I am still fairly young. Now don't get me wrong, if we get a surprise later on I will be very happy, but I think we are closing that chapter for now. Please forgive me for playing this little trick. I need to have some fun in my life sometimes.

On Friday it was my parents Stake Lagoon Day. Armand had a young men's deal down in Manti so I decided to just take the older 2 girls. My great sister in law was so kind and took Haven for most of the day. Since we were going to be in the kiddie area most of the day I decided not to buy a pass for me and save $30. I can't believe how much it is now. But I did take my brothers ticket and I am going to use the bounce back and go again with the girls.

The train was the only ride I went on but that is okay. I had so much fun watching the girls and I was just as excited as they were.

I am so proud of my girls. Kasja saw the Bat and decided to go on it with Skyler. Now for those of you who know Kasja she is quite the scardy cat so this was very exciting for me. Then Kasja and Cambria decided they would go on the Ladybud Hop which they had told me earlier in the day that they would not go on it. I can't wait to take them back to see if they will go on some of the bigger rides with me.

Yesterday was also a sad day. I went to a funeral of one of the greatest friends I have ever known. He was tragically killed last Saturday (link). This man was just about as Christ like as they get. I worked with him at Vehix for 11 years and have kept in touch with him since I left in March. He was so giving and helped me out several times (usually anonymously). It was a very wonderful funeral because we were able to celebrate Michael Carver and appreciate his life. I love you Michael and know that you are in a better place now.

It seems like I am starting to have more of these as I get on in my years. Last night I was leaving and the garage light was off. No big deal, I use these stairs everyday. So I didn't turn the light on and the next thing I know I am falling down them. Instead of going face first which could have done some real damage I managed to fold my legs under me and slid down that way. Armand came out to see if I was okay and asked if I had night vision. So now my knees, ankles and legs are scraped and bruised but that is all. I just feel like a big idiot.

For anyone that has been in my house you will see that I have no decorating skills. My 2 older sisters took all the talent and I got nothing. So for the last 3.5 years we haven't really had anything on our walls. I have purchased some things but when we go to put it on the wall it seems so tiny. Our wall is pretty big. So I called up one of my sisters and asked her to come help me figure out how to arrange everything. I am loving how it turned out. Thanks Ruth!!

Last weekend the Elders Quorum came to our house to do service. They did so much for us. They fixed the stairs in our garage, painted and built some awesome shelves. This picture was taken on Tuesday, I thought for sure her tooth would come out that night. But of course it didn't. It came out last night while she was chewing gum. She didn't even feel it come out.

What she didn't realize is that her tooth right next to it is loose but she was so concerned about this one she didn't even know. I will guess that the next tooth will take about a month to get loose enough to come out. She is going to be a rich girl when she is done.

The last weekend of March Armand and I went to Las Vegas with Wayne an his new wife. We met up with Wayne's sisters and their husbands. It was good to be able to get to know them. We had a great time.

Let's go with the bad news first. I was laid off on Monday from Vehix after being there for 11 years. There were 6 of us all together and it has been really hard for me to deal with. I guess I thought I would be there forever. I don't know what we are going to do but I don't really want to start thinking about that until next week. I am going to spend some time with family.

On a happier note. Armand's dad was married on Monday as well. He met Judy about 5 weeks ago and we didn't see him much after that. We really do love Judy though and she will be a great addition to the family. Here are a few shots from the wedding.

This has been one of the best and most humbling times we have had. Our ward was so great and gave us some wonderful gifts with their sub for Santa. The girls got most of the things from their list. I just wanted to thank everyone that participated and let them know how much it meant to us. I would also like to thank a good friend of ours, Mailyn, who was so kind and thoughtful. Even though she lives in another state she contacted one of the radio stations and told them our situation. They were so great and brought us some new clothes, coats and shoes and of course a few toys for the girls. Our family received so much this year that I don't know what to say except for thank you. I hope this year we will be able to be on the giving end instead of the receiving. We had a great Christmas and hope you all have a wonderful New Year.

I know this is way late but it has been a busy and sick season for us. The girls we lucky enough to have 2 nights of house making. We did one night with Grandpa Leach and another for family night. Have just kept putting her finger in the frosting and eating it. She loved it.

C just turned 5 today. I had an entire 3 days with no 5 year olds in the house. It was a very fun and busy day today. As you can see I am still up. We love you C and are so happy you are in our family!!! We are off to the library in the morning so she can finally get her own card. She just can't wait.

Giving Thanks

I feel like this Thanksgiving season I need to tell everyone how thankful I am for all that has been done for our family. All the nice thoughts and prayers. Babysitting has been a huge help (thanks to all of our sisters). Just last night we got something wonderful on our doorstep. It was a box full of food for a great Thanksgiving feast. So whoever that was I am saying thank you, we really appreciate it. I don't feel like we deserve it but we are very grateful and humbled. I hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving Day. Food, Family and Fun. What else can we ask for??

Today is K's 6th birthday. I can't believe she has been with our family for so long. I wish I had more time to write but life is so busy these days. Here are a few photos from today. We love you and are so happy that you are in our lives.

When K was on the phone telling Grandma what she got she said that she got an Eye Patch (she meant ipod) it was pretty cute. Really it is just a cheap MP3 player but she really loves it.

This is my first attempt at doing any kind of decorated cake. It is supposed to be 2 presents. I think it turned out pretty good for a first timer. I definitely learned something for the next one. (which is in 3 days for Cam).

So today is my 31st birthday. I don't feel like I am getting any older, I still feel like I just graduated from High School. So here are some pictures of me when I was younger. I am not sure how old I was in the first one but the second is just after I turned 6. I am going to start scanning my old pictures so maybe I will post more oldies. They are so fun to look at.

Armand Update

It looks like Armand won't get released to go back to work until just before Christmas which really means not until after the New Year. I am pretty sure nobody will be hiring the week before Christmas. While our Christmas may be small this year I am having high hopes that we will have a great year next year. Thanks to everyone that has helped us out with babysitting and other things. We really do appreciate it and love you for it.

Jazz game

My company has season tickets for the Jazz and I usually get to go to one or two games every season. I was lucky to be able to go on Friday night and took K with me. She had so much fun and did really well cheering for the Jazz. I yelled out come on Boozer and she asked why I said come on Loser! It was pretty cute.
